Lumbini Garden

This garden of giant-sized statues and lotus flowers replicates the Lumbini Garden where Queen Maya gave birth to Buddha. As soon as Buddha was born, it is said that he walked seven steps with lotus flowers blooming as his feet touched the earth.

Spread beneath the Bodhi Tree Mural, the Lumbini Garden will provide a sanctuary for contemplative prayer and mindful relaxation. Follow the perfumed fragrance of burning incense to the Bathing Buddha Arches to cleanse one’s mind and self through the Bathing of the Buddha ceremony or for guided Ch’an or walking meditation sessions, head over to the Lotus Flower Sanctuary.
